[Lust's expression is thoughtful when she flicks on her 'gear, the device propped on a coffee table in what looks like a living room. She's settled on her couch, a stack of books visible next to her.]
Indulge my curiosity...
Does anyone else come from a world where the predominant entertainment is radio? Much as I enjoy television and films, I miss a good radio drama. There's something to be said for allowing the imagination to fill in the pictures.

I guess... you also have to wonder if, just because you think you didn't have a big impact on someone, that's really true. Sometimes you only need to talk to someone once to have an impact on them, even if you never see them again.
[She knew Steven for less than a day, but the kindness he showed her... that's something Lapis will never forget.]
Even if just one person remembers you and carries your memory with them... that's something, right?

That's all mirrors facing mirrors and cogs turning into cogs. The stone doesn't care what ripples it makes in the water as it sinks, only that its sinking. The impact we have on others is an ephemeral, intangible thing. The effects remain, but they could have been instigated by anything or one.
Sometimes I think maybe only the living moment really matters.
