Indulge my curiosity...

Does anyone else come from a world where the predominant entertainment is radio? Much as I enjoy television and films, I miss a good radio drama. There's something to be said for allowing the imagination to fill in the pictures.

Honestly, even radio is a large leap ahead of what we had on Luxendarc.

[He sips from his coffee mug, reclining in a cozy chair.]

Entertainment was limited to books and live performance. Fashion shows, music... All impressive, but I admit there's a certain splendor to the technology here.

Do all of you without radio come from the same world, or are there more worlds without it than I thought?

Well, I haven't seen anyone else from Luxendarc. Perhaps there's such a large number of worlds that a few share similar traits.

With that said, I can't say I've encountered many whose worlds are governed by magic crystals.

At first it seemed like so many different worlds were all alike. But the more I learn, the more I see what a wrong assumption that was.

Oh, I don't know. I've heard of other worlds where crystal stones hold great importance.

Of course where I come from, they were sustenance for people like me.

So you ate crystals? I can't imagine what that would have felt like, let alone tasted like.

Mhm. For most of my life, it was all I ever ate. I can't begin to try and describe it.

I quite enjoy food, now.

[Heh. Well, without a description, he can't begin to imagine it. Then again, it's not a tremendous detail.]

Any favorites? There's such a rich variety of foods out there-- here, even.

[Some of which he'd not experienced before. Fast food comes to mind, greasy and strange as it is.]

Chocolate seems quite popular among women. While I'm not certain how it became associated with romance, I'm certainly not complaining.

[While he doesn't care for sweets, it's a nearly universal gift that may well help in winning the hearts of the fairer sex.]

I don't understand the romantic connotations, either. Though really, chocolate seems associated with everything.

I like seafood, too. Even though I don't much like the ocean.

Really? I've always adored the view of the crashing waves and the sweet sea breeze, though I suppose it's not for everyone.

Seafood's certainly among my favorite meals, though, particularly when cooked by Grandship's proprietress. In all my time here, I've yet to find a chef who rivals her culinary perfection.

I like to look at it, but it's so vast and deep and full of things. Perhaps it's simply my desert soul's distrust of so much water in one place.

That's quite the recommendation.

I imagine you'd feel right at home in Ancheim, then. It's a charming kingdom, even if its coffee's a touch too sweet for my taste.

And that recommendation comes from someone who's traveled all across Luxendarc and sampled the various cuisine. There's simply no comparison, even if each region has its own perks.
