Indulge my curiosity...

Does anyone else come from a world where the predominant entertainment is radio? Much as I enjoy television and films, I miss a good radio drama. There's something to be said for allowing the imagination to fill in the pictures.

Really? I assume that your world's primary source of entertainment is the written word, then?

Nah, we have plays and there's at least one traveling circus I can think of. Music, too.

[On phonographs.]

Really?

I'm a circus performer. We don't travel, though.

Oh. What do you do?

[Pause. That needs clarification.]

I mean, in the circus.

I'm an acrobat. My brother and I perform together on the trapeze.

Ohh, that's cool. What's a trapeze though?

It's a sort of bar swing that hangs high in the air. We're acrobats.
