Time is such a funny thing.
[Lust is sitting outside, clearly enjoying the early evening, and her Spheal and Eevee can be seen playing together in the background.]
It feels as though I just woke up in this world a short while ago, but tomorrow morning will mark a full year's passing.
When I first came here, I had nothing, not even my life. Now I sit here with my own home, family, people I call friends, a vocation of my own. I've been given a chance to know those I never would have before, offered opportunities that had been ripped away, handed the liberty to dictate my own actions and path in life.
And I think I hated this place, a little, at the beginning. The strangeness of it, the unfamiliarity, the changes it wrought in my physical form.
That's the thing about time.
It changes all things, eventually.

And really, this is the only life left to me now. I don't intend to waste it. I certainly don't have anything to be miserable about here. Quite the opposite.

Not that it matters. You've a place where you truly belong. A roof to which you may return to if you ever decide to journey across this world.

We did our traveling beforehand. Last year we took a trip to the other region, it was well worth it.

Well, actually, this is a world where people freely train devastatingly powerful monsters. Perhaps it's not so strange.]
Erm. Well, I can see why you'd desire your own space. I can't imagine they'd enjoy traveling on solid ground.

And these sharks truly fell from the sky? I'd no idea this world has such strange weather!

That sounds remarkably dangerous. I do hope you made it through unscathed.

True, and there is something rather exhilarating about life or death circumstances. The rapid beating of one's heart, the adrenaline coursing through you as you take a stand against all odds!
The joy of a hard-earned victory!
[He clasps a hand over his heart, sighing wistfully.]
It's something I've experienced time and time again.

Though I was perfectly happy to let someone else have the victory, and simply reap the spoils after.
