[Lust has her device propped up in front of her, so she can sit and rest her chin in her hands to record. Guttle is next to her, on his back, chewing on some sort of toy or treat. For a change, Lust's demeanor and tone are both contented ones.]
Traveling for leisure seems very commonplace in this world. I admit it's something I'm only now indulging in myself but...
I wondered if anyone had any stories they'd like to share. Pleasant stories, about their travels.
I think I'd like to hear some.

Yes, it's my real name.
[She's taken to answering that question preemptively, with how often she gets it.]
I've only been here a few months.

Anyway! There, now we know each other.
[That's right, folks, it's just that easy!]

We know each other's names. Not each other. You're...very friendly, aren't you?

The only reason making friends has to be complicated is because we make it that way. We can just as easily make simple. Sure, I just know your name and that you've just learned to travel for fun and you haven't connected to a place before, but hey, why can't that be good enough?

[The entire concept of having friends is one Lust has only observed in others. Greed's her friend, of course, and France, but that was easy. Greed was her own kind, and France was Envy's...house husband as far as she could tell. Connections were already in place.
Making friends of strangers is something else entirely.]
I've never made friends before, actually. I wouldn't know how it normally goes.

You just have to want to hang out with them, or find them interesting to talk to. Someone you don't want to punch in the face being around.
[...]
Actually, you know what? Sometimes there are plenty of friendships that involve punching each other in the face. It's different for everyone.
And if it doesn't work, you can always just break it off.

Though I can't imagine those kinds of friendships are easy. It seems to me it would be trying and frustrating, to be friends with someone you were always at odds with.

I think when you come down to it, the most important part is respect.

Hmm.

But a lot of the times you get completely blindsided, or it just happens without you really thinking about it. The more you interact with other people, the more likely you'll be surprised with who you like being with.

There's truth in that, I suppose. That it can be surprising, whose company we find ourselves wanting to keep.

It's a bit tricky... But, in the end, I'd say it's worth it. Connections between people are one of the most important things to living, at least that's what I think.
