[She sets little Henry down, and he cautiously pads in Henry and Cheerio's direction.]

Would you like something to drink? I have an open bottle of mint liquor in the kitchen, it makes coffee drinkable.

[She hopes to god that he doesn't have some visceral fear or flavored liquor or coffee.]

_{[He loosens his arms and Cheerios leaps down to land before the psycic-type. He chirps a greeting and starts bouncing in circles around him.]}

Ah he's--a little excitable. My purple space cat doesn't really get along with him, so I wasn't sure if yours would.

_{[At the mention of drinks Henry hesitates before shrugging. That sounds nice. Something warm to drink after how miserable it's been.]}

_{[He sits down on the sofa and starts collecting the things he brought home from the store. He could evolve his Eevee once he burnt off some energy. The last thing he needed was for Cheerios's energy to be DOUBLED once he had a brand new form to play with.]}

He's a cautious thing, but he's friendly. He's actually named after you - don't panic, I'm not very good at naming things, I name most of my Pokemon after people I know.

[And the Espurr's the most nervous of her team, it always puts her in mind of her quiet, odd housemate.

She heads to the kitchen to fix drinks, while little Henry stands perfectly still and watches Cheerios bounce around him with a curious 'Purr?'. By the time she comes back with a pair of mugs, the Espurr is tentatively swatting at the Eevee in an attempt to play.]

<sub>[Cheerios doesn't mind that Little Henry isn't as bouncy as he is! When the Espurr starts to swat at him, Cheerios twitches his tail and changes directions. THIS IS A FUN GAME.]

[Big Henry watches them with a half smile until Lust reappears. BLANKFACE.]</sub>

[Lust shrugs and hands one of the mugs to Henry before taking a seat on the couch.

Little Henry continues to spin around where he's standing and bat at Cheerios' tail.]

Cheerios is a cute name, though. And I'm rather proud of Guttle. It suits him.

_{[Henry accepts his mug and when he takes a sip, he makes an appreciative sound. It's good! He's more of a smoker than a drinker, so this mix is brand new.]}

I've never known a pokemon to be born happy. Usually they're sort of potato-like for the first few days before perking up. But he was.

Are they? I don't have very much experience with newborns. He certainly seems to have an exuberant personality. He and Guttle should play, my Spheal's full of energy. He drives the rest of my team mad.

[And her sometimes, but she loves that overweight Pokemon dearly.]

They'd probably get along splendidly.

<sub>[Henry nods again. Cheerios needs more playmates. Especially if he has even more energy after he evolves.]

[For a while Henry's quiet, enjoying the warmth and taste of the coffee. Some of the tension leaves his shoulders and he finally leans back against the sofa.]</sub>

[Meanwhile, Cheerios has opted for flipping over onto his back and 'fighting' at Little Henry, growling FEROCIOUSLY. So ferociously.]</sub>

[Little Henry hops backwards, looking askance at Cheerios and waving one paw wildly in front of himself in 'defense'.]

Some of them are. They won't kill you, but they can make you very ill. But these don't. I've been eating them for years.

_{[Henry opens an eye when there is a loud squeak from the pokemon before shutting it again.]}

[Lust slides off the couch to sit on the floor beside Henry.]

[Little Henry is on his back, paws wiggling in the air, staring at the wall. He's still getting the hang of this 'playing' thing.]

_{[Cheerios had grown a little over excited and had begun to drag Little Henry across the carpet by one ear. At his trainer's scolding he stopped and gave Henry a pair of BIG INNOCENT EYES.]}

[Little Henry was simply allowing himself to be dragged, quivering and confused. Lust's only concern is Cheerios tugging his ear the wrong way. She doesn't need another psychic Espurr blast in the house.]

And I'd like that. I like trying new things. Making the most of humanity and all that.

_{[He stands and puts his mug down on an end table before drifting off into his cave/room. He isn't gone long before he returns with a small plastic baggie with small crumbly shavings inside. Legit.]}

Just take a pinch. You're not used to it, so it could be very strong.

[Well, no time like the present. Lust looks down at the baggy, curious.]

Do I just eat some? How long does it take to take effect?

_{[He shakes his head and opens the baggie for her.]}

<sub>[Henry, meanwhile, takes a big honking wad of it and just eats it because he's a hardass motherfucker dont take no shit from no berries. He then takes another sip of his coffe and starts chewing the stuff.]

[Lust watches him, eyebrow raised, and then takes a pinch of the berries and adds it to her coffee and liquor.

She takes a cautious sip. Today's certainly taken an interesting turn.]

<sub>[Henry chewed the stuff like a Tauros and stared tiredly down at the two pokemon. Cheerios was now attempting to teach Little Henry to play tag by batting at his forepaw and then doing an impressive loop around the living room whether he was being chased or not.]

[For lust, the stuff would take a good ten minutes to really kick in. But when it does, it does, especially since she's new to the stuff.]</sub>

They're a little weak when they're dried, but it's winter now and they're hard to find.

But potency of substances is directly linked to tolerance and experience. I don't have any.

[She's never been able to enjoy these kinds of things before - drugs and alcohol never had an effect on her as a homunculus - but she's familiar with the science of mind altering substances.]

[Little Henry is making an effort, trotting after Cheerios but hanging back and not trying to catch him.]

I'm not going to start crying and telling everyone I love them, am I? I've seen intoxicated people do that, it's embarrassing just to watch.

Things might look or feel strange, but it's not like that. That isn't fun at all, I'm not sure why people do it.

I've only ever experienced the effects of alcohol. I knew an alchemist who took Elevation of Parsinnen, though. Raw opium powder pills. He'd get giddy and wouldn't stop talking and he'd try to get amorous and usually fell asleep on top of me before he'd even started. I tried it and it didn't do anything for me.
