I've only ever experienced the effects of alcohol. I knew an alchemist who took Elevation of Parsinnen, though. Raw opium powder pills. He'd get giddy and wouldn't stop talking and he'd try to get amorous and usually fell asleep on top of me before he'd even started. I tried it and it didn't do anything for me.
[Lust has never had any shame about her former profession - she likes to think of it as 'professional mistress' - and likely never will. Discussing the sexual habits of the alchemists she'd targeted was the same to her as discussing weather or shopping.
She finishes her drink and sits back, waiting for the berries Henry gave her to kick in. Maybe she should be keeping track of the time...]
Henry? Have the walls in here always looked...fuzzy?
[When had Henry come back? The floor felt like a ship deck, tipping and rolling without actually moving. It wasn't unpleasant, just strange and unexpected. She closed her eyes to the odd texture of the walls and she found herself keenly aware of the bursts of color and shapes in the darkness of her eyelids.]
Is it normal to feel like I'm melting? Or...dripping? Dripping might be a better word.
[Henry just sits and eats his toast as if nothing is amiss. So they were sitting on the sun? Been there, done that. Solar flares were pretty. It was kind of cool to see Cheerios hopping over Lusts's pokemon in slow motion though.]
[She was watching the walls now. It looked like waterfalls, only instead of water it was tiny glittering crystals that moved like liquid. She hadn't expected to hallucinate - but then she didn't really know what she was expecting.
She can't believe Henry's so calm and unaffected by the drugs.]
[Henry finishes off his toast and then entertains himself by rubbing the crumbs between his thumb and forefinger before flicking them into space where they became stars and galaxies.]
[She turns to look at Henry and the little frown his words caused melted away into a delighted smile.]
You have lights in your hair....
[She reaches out to brush her fingers against them - and the tips of Henry's hair - without thinking much of it. The lights cling to her fingertips and she moves her hand this way and that to watch them run like water along her skin.]
[Lust's already leaned back, her attention on her own hand which she holds out in front of her to watch the lights travel like droplets up and down her arm and over the back of her hand, following the lines of her nodes.]
[Henry watches Lust gaze deeply at her own arm before going back to his own business. He shifts forward and sits down on the floor with the pokemon. He scoops up Cheerios and turns him upside down.]
[Cheerios knows this game! He instantly starts moving his feet as if he is walking. Henry placidly 'walks' him around on various surfaces like the walls and sides of the sofa.]
[Lust's eyes flick from her own limbs to Henry, not connecting what he was doing with his Eevee to what he'd said. All she can think of is a spider chimera.]
[Lust shakes her head as she stretches out on the floor, trying to make sense of what Henry's saying.]
You don't want to be a man-spider. It's awful, really. I can't even imagine how the genetics would blend and adapt to one another. You're better off as human-man.
[Either way, it translates to spider chimera in her mind.]
Oh. I like having my picture taken. I'm not surprised you're a creative type.
[He had that way about him. Little Henry squeaks happily - or as happily as he can - and pops into the air, somersaulting over himself to land on the couch with a startled 'purr!'. Well, that's one way to play.]
They both sound like they're describing alchemically made creatures. Which doesn't make something horrible, you know. I'm a 'monster thing'. Though I suppose having spider attributes would theoretically make one superior at traditional heroics. How many legs does he have?
[She's just not getting it.
Little Henry retreats to the back of the couch, taking up a defensive position.]
Oh, someone told me about Christmas. People give presents.
[Henry Townshend, who has now had time for his great hulking mouthful of the stuff to finally kick in good and proper, suddenly drops his personal wall. He looks at Lust as she continues to not get how awesome Spiderman is and awards her with a slow, frustrated blink.]
Lust, stop talking, I'll tell you about it later.
[GOD.]
Christmas is fun. This will be the first one I've celebrated in an actual house for years.
I've never celebrated a holiday. Well, I think I celebrated Halloween. I did things. I joined the circus. It was fun. What do you like about Christmas?
What sort of gifts are supposed to be given? I like to feel good.
[And she has to be prepared. She doesn't want to make a mess of her first real holiday. And she'll do anything that supposedly comes with a pleasant feeling - it's why she's currently watching multi-colored comets that aren't even there.]

Um. No.
[Wrong drug.]
Things might look or feel strange, but it's not like that. That isn't fun at all, I'm not sure why people do it.

I'm going to make some toast.
[Henry excuses himself to the kitchen because he can feel the very edges of the stuff creeping in and he needs something crunchy, dammit.]

Hmm? Oh, sorry. I can make some more.
[He glanced at said walls. They'd always been fuzzy to him, so he just shrugged.]
They feel nice.

So long as the weird bear doesn't show up.

[Henry repeats and watches his fingerprints ripple on his hands.]
It never does anything, it just appears in the corner and is there, you know--um.
[Hello, Lust, this is Henry's personal bubble. He leans away from her a little.]

I don't want to see any spider men.
[Or normal spiders, come to think of it.]

[Cheerios just keeps on sky walking as Henry lifts him high into the air.]
He's a photographer too, like me.
I'm basically Spiderman.

[He finally puts Cheerios down. The Eevee squeaks in turn and pounces at the Espurr. COME ON, LITTLE HENRY, YOU CAN BE THOR.]
Yes. It's how I'm making money right now. I went to school for it.

[The Eevee's ears spring up in surprise. A REACTION THAT WASN'T A DAZED STARE! It was a miracle! Cheerios bounds after him.]
I'd like to get a photo of everyone in the house before Christmas.
