[Lust hasn't been on the public network in nearly a month. But now that she's home and settled, she remembers she had plans before her life was temporarily uprooted. Time to get back to those.]

Was anyone still interested in helping me with that radio show I mentioned at the start of summer?

Halloween's coming up before much longer, I thought perhaps we could do something for the holiday. Spooky stories are all part of the celebration, after all.

I have a handful of ideas for plots.

A movie's just a long television show.

I must have misunderstood what, oh, I do think I missed his name, but he calls himself President. He was explaining what a movie is to me, but he never mentioned television.

All of these things are still new to me, we didn't have them in my world, or at least not like this. [And no one has shown her video games yet. Such a crime.]

I think a radio show might be fun.

Oh that madman? He's not president of anything but the echoing corridors of his own mind.

We have moving picture shows where I come from, but they're very primitive.

I hope so.

Where do you make a radio show?

Professional companies have recording studios, I'm just using the gears.

They can do that? I mean, I know they show text and moving pictures of other people, but I didn't know they could do that!

It's just audio recording. It's like video recording with the video shut off.

That really is amazing. They have made something called a phone in my world, but we don't even have one yet.

Oh, we have telephones. And motorcars. And home radio, but no home television like here.

Motorcars? What kind of train is that?

They're like little private ones that only fit four people and drive on the road instead of tracks. They're powered by electricity.

[She looks absolutely shocked.] So they are carriages without horses? That is incredible! Electricity is amazing! We don't have any electricity in our home yet.
