The new year certainly was pleasant, wasn't it? I think I enjoy this world's holidays.

[Lust's curled up in her living room on the couch, tucked under a blanket with a mug of cocoa and her 'gear propped up on the coffee table in front of her. Her recently hatched shiny Houndour is half across her lap.]

But now that the holiday has passed, I had a query for those who have formalized exercising routines. I've found myself needing to keep fit not simply for aesthetic reasons, but due to a professional need for peak physical condition. Flexibility, muscle strength, physical reaction time...

I've never had to work to keep up with those things before and the sooner I get some formal discipline in my routine, the better. I'd appreciate any advice or specific schools of practice that could be recommended.

It's fascinating to watch, especially now that the world - or at least my world - is more connected.

Well... networks such as these in my world have connected so many people. People have started to speak a common language again - maybe not in words, but in terms of being able to relate to people they would have never seen before. This starts to increase the speed of the transmission of ideas, and so technology can be developed much faster.

Oh. My world doesn't have anything like this, we use telephones and telegrams.

But where I come from really doesn't need any rapid technological advancement, they'd just use it to blow the rest of the world up.

Heh. People will do that with whatever technology they have. It's been done before in my world, and it'll likely happen again.

I suppose. But there are factors that effect whether a people are simple eager to advance or eager to conquer.

True. And there are sometimes people who want to force humanity one way or another, and who have the power to do so. Whether they choose the correct path or not is the real question.

Someone always wants to play god.

[It's said blithely, but the conversation's getting a bit too close to home for Lust.]

But this world is different. Docile, I think, is the word I want. More fitting than 'nice'. Tame, in a way.

And even gods can be wrong.

[... True. He's just still sore about being betrayed.]

Docile is a good word for it. It's got the sharp edges shaved off, certainly.

But it also offers so many wonders and pleasant experiences.

I suppose I have time for it, don't I? Someone from my world has been here for four years, apparently.

My brother's been here for years. Sometimes people disappear, but those that don't seem to be here permanently.

Interesting... well. We'll see. It's at least good to have some room to breathe.
