Action - Mt Moon - Locked to Greed
[It's been a hell of a week, to put it mildly. Lust can't remember so many highly charged emotions in so short a time span. Between Scar and Alphonse and Envy, she's done more feeling than she can handle. Feeling things is even more tiring than traveling!]
[Which is done for the day. Lust has been fixing supper - stew, it's about all she can manage while camping - and when she brings a dish over to Greed, she's come to a decision.]
I need to do something pleasant.
[Greed's some sort of master at ridiculous and entertaining things, and that's exactly what she feels she needs right now. And she doesn't imagine he's had an easier time of it than her.]
I propose we do something...I don't know. Silly.

He wants her to be happy. But he also doesn't want to hear her constantly arguing with someone she so clearly cares about. It's a difficult situation for him, but he'll deal with it in his own ways. Once Greed has had enough time to process, he'll talk to her about it. But not now.
He smiles when she brings him the stew, taking it carefully.]
Do you? I've gotta admit, I could do with the same.
[It's a pleasant evening. There should be something for them to do here beyond the usual camping.]
Do you have anything in mind? I'm sure we're not the only campers here. We could probably find someone to bother.
no subject
[She sits beside him, folding her legs up under her. Leisure time is still new to her, she has trouble thinking up ways to fill it. Before this trip, all she really did was shop and go to cafes with France and hang around the hotel with Envy.]
I just know I want to have fun right now. There hasn't been much of it, lately.
no subject
Still, he's going to be putting all of his effort into this. They both deserve it.]
I'm sure I can think of something.
What sort of Pokemon are in this area, anyway? Maybe we could catch some.
no subject
[She pulls out her 'gear to see about looking it up.]
I heard something about rarely seen Pokemon living in the mountain, though. Or was it rare Pokemon? I can't recall.
no subject
Cedric's one of those, apparently. But I don't think you'd find anything like him up here in the mountains.
I've always found it strange that one usually only encounters a single Pokemon at a time. No packs or colonies of animals. They have to exist out there.
no subject
[He's right, Pokemon aren't all solitary creatures. They have to live in groups in the wild.]
We could always explore the caves and see what we find...
[Though that doesn't exactly seem like a silly idea, but it's a start.]
no subject
[In that case, he might feel a little bad. The ones they have might be missing their shark buddies! It's a good thing that they'll get a pool when the camping trip is done.]
You know, that's a good idea. There must be some cool new species we haven't seen yet here, right? I don't know what, but it has to exist!
no subject
[She wonders if that ever happens, if Pokemon miss their families or friends. She's never seen any evidence of that, though. None of hers seem to be wanting for company.]
I'm sure there is. I remember being told some time ago that there are some particularly interesting Pokemon that live in caves and underground. Though we should be careful we don't get lost in the cavern system... pity I don't have my talons anymore, they were useful for marking stone.
no subject
And they don't even allow pocket knives in this place! How annoying.
[Maybe they could leave something behind to mark the way out. He fishes through his pack for a moment before pulling out a box of chalk.]
We can use this! We'll mark the walls of the cave. Emelia can light the way for us. She's a pretty good torch.
no subject
[It isn't as though she's had much need for any actual blades. She smiled at the chalk, nodding enthusiastically.]
Perfect! We'll have ourselves a little adventure in the Moon Mountain.
no subject
[That's right! This will be fun. The entire vacation has been fun besides the various hiccups along the way. He juggles the box for a moment, smiling brightly.]
I have a question for you before we begin, actually. Just a little one. What do you think of Alphonse Elric?
[Because Greed likes the kid quite a bit, but Envy...]
no subject
I was working with the Elric brothers before I ended up here. And aside from his habit of calling me 'Miss', he's an endearing young man.
no subject
Yeah, he is. He and I didn't meet under the greatest of circumstances, but he won me over. That might be a strange thing to say. But I definitely like the kid.
...I hope Envy can let go of his anger. Those boys aren't responsible for what happened to him.
[Greed doesn't know if that's actually possible or not. What Hohenheim did to Envy was unforgivable, but Ed and Al are completely innocent.]
no subject
[Lust throws up her hands and sighs.]
Whatever he feels, it comes out of hurt, and I'd like to believe all hurts can be healed in time. And it's the sire he hates, it's a shame Alphonse has to suffer for that. Though Alphonse gave as well as he got. If not better.
[He doesn't blame Envy at all for what he feels toward Hohenheim.]
no subject
[He shakes his head. This trip is for happy thoughts, not depressing conversations of what could have been.]
They're brothers. They should be there for each other. Their father will never accept responsibility for what he's done. To all three of them.
no subject
[Lust waves her hand to dismiss it. They'd all made mistakes.]
Maybe in time they'll come to see each other as such. I've spoken to Envy, he's calmed some. It's not our place to involve ourselves without invitation.
[She smooths down her skirt and tucks her 'gear away, more than ready to be off.]
Now come on. We have mountain Pokemon to find.
no subject
There's nothing that can be done about it. We might as well have an enjoyable time while we're here.
[He smirks as he looks around.]
Hey, what about that?
[The nearby cave is hardly the only cave in the mountainside, but it's the closet one at the moment.]
There must be rare Pokemon hanging around in there somewhere!
no subject
[Someday Lust will bother to learn the actual names of people she's met through Envy. She shoulders her backpack - just in case - and nods in agreement.
And really, the more she thinks about it, the more exciting the prospect is. Likely because it's with Greed. There's something a bit thrilling about the idea of poking about caves with him.]
no subject
[He lets his Charmeleon out of her Pokeball, who lets out a pleased cry when she sees Greed and Lust in greeting.]
Hey, girl. You think you can help lead the way for us?
[By the look, it's clear that this is a "yes." She's already on her way inside.]
Guess we better follow her, huh?
[Greed gives Lust a lopsided grin before he starts toward the mouth of the cave.]
no subject
I remember once when I'd only been here a short time, someone mentioned ferocious looking Pokemon tend to be found in caves and underground. I wonder if we'll find any.
no subject
Ahh, that's certainly a possibility.
[But he has that tone that suggests that he doesn't have a care in the world.]
But my team is strong. We'll be fine.
no subject
[She loves her team very much, but for the most part, they're a little girl's stuffed animal collection come to life.
But right now her attention is on the cave. Even from the entrance, it looks unfathomably deep and dark. That thrill of excitement comes again.
This is exactly the sort of thing she'd had in mind when they first discussed their trip.]
no subject
His team is varying levels of fierce as it is.]
I wonder what kind of Pokemon lives in here? Bats, probably, but what else? I hope it's something powerful like a wolf.
