[Seriously? Lust is quiet for a moment. He's not breaking up with her because he doesn't think he's in a relationship. She'd thought she'd been clear. She'd been trying to be clear. In hindsight...]

Us. Whatever you want to call it. We have feelings for each other, we act as though we're a pair, what's the point in dancing around it and stringing each other along any longer?

It isn't as though I expect anything to change between us, but it isn't as though we're open to becoming involved with other people...

What do you mean by "formalized?" There is not point in "formalizing" anything if you don't plan on anything changing.

I just mean I assumed we'd take things slowly. Start spending more time together, talking more often, being more communicative with our feelings.

[She hopes she's explaining herself well enough.]

We aren't like most people. I'm not looking for roses and fancy dinners or whatever it is people normally do when they're a couple. That's all.

[Good, because he wasn't planning on it. Scar manages to keep that in. He hesitates another moment, though.]

I'm not surprised. It's like I said, we already behaved as though we were a couple. You just aren't given to sharing your feelings, and I was too scared to say anything for fear of losing you entirely.

I have a general idea. We talk privately often and at length, you don't like when I'm particularly friendly with other men, I go out of my way to keep your company, we...find some sort of comfort in one another we can't find with anyone else.

We're both in uncharted territory. We don't need to complicate things any further with throwing social and conventional expectations into the mix.

[What... is he supposed to do, now? Scar has always roamed aimlessly in Hoenn. He's never had anyone he's really obligated to keep informed on his whereabouts or status. This is making his head hurt.]
